The Dreamer is one of five characters from the collaboration between sculptor Maleke Bjelke and Kähler, each with their own narrative and personality traits, designed as people in different places in life.
This character, the Dreamer, has his own tale of daring dreams and brings those dreams to reality. The figure's design is unglazed, organic and unpolished, and with its simple uncomplicated expression it is an obvious gift for the student, the graduation day, and other important anniversaries where exciting experiences await.
Maleke Bjelke is a Danish sculptor whose work derives from her experience in the theatre world. Her sculptures often model different human characters, mindsets and thoughts, and the interaction of a figure and the surrounding space is also an essential theme in her work. Bjelke graduated from the Danish Design School in 1993, and in addition to sculpting, she has worked with theatre and costumes for over 20 years.
