Join local basket maker Lorraine Gibson on this introductory course to hand bound brush making.
During this relaxed workshop you will learn to make three lovely and practical brushes using natural Tampico and Arenga fibres and a choice of colourful nylon threads to allow you to personalise your creations.
The workshop is usually done with your shoes off. This improves the control you have over the tension of your thread.
You’ll finish the workshop with some beautiful brushes and the skills to continue making and learning at home.
No previous experience needed
All tools are provided for use at the course and all materials are in the course cost.
Information on where to source materials will be provided after the course and there may be an opportunity to buy some brush making kits to practice at home.
