Photos make lasting memories and wonderful gifts. We are over the moon to be able to host a family portrait day with award-winning portrait photographer Nina Davidson who will turn Haus Below into her very own photography studio for the day.

Nina Davidson is an award-winning fashion and portrait photographer based here in the Scottish Borders. Nina’s photography experience has taken her across Europe working with a number of international fashion and lifestyle brands. Recent campaigns include Fish and Kids in Spain, Cyrillus in Paris and Oeuf New York. Her photographs have been published in many journals and magazines and she is 2026 brand ambassador for Leica Cameras. She was awarded the SPA Albert Watson Portrait Prize — Scottish Portrait Photographer of the Year in 2023, and in 2026 her work was exhibited at the National Portrait Gallery in Edinburgh for the very first time.

With a gentle honest eye she captures what is real in a sitter, the warmth, the laughter, the small details that make each photograph unique. For her photography is not perfection but about presence, keeping hold of what is true, even as life rushes on.

We are absolutely delighted to welcome Nina to Haus and Co, where she will be offering individual portrait sessions, as well as sessions for groups of up to six people. Nina has a particular talent for photographing children and young people, creating portraits that feel natural, authentic and full of personality. Each portrait session will last up to 30 minutes and will be relaxed, informal and tailored to you.

Each group will receive a beautiful 10 x 8 inch black-and-white photograph from the shoot, ready to frame to share with friends and family — making a truly personal and unique Christmas gift. Additional images and framing options will also be available on the day for an additional fee.
