TEXTILE BIRD WORKSHOP WITH THREADY FLOCK. SATURDAY 17 OCTOBER 9.30am - 4pm

Enjoy a day of creativity whilst producing your own bespoke and unique bird picture. Using fabric collage and hand stitching you’ll create a beautiful little bird that will be ready to hang on your wall. Becky Jones aka The Thready Flock will lead you through each step to create your own beautiful bird.

You’ll use a selection of new and vintage fabrics to create the collage before adding the details and feathery texture with hand stitching.

Becky is a textile artist with a life-long love of birds. Growing up in the North-West Highlands, the outdoors and wildlife of the area were a big part of her childhood. While she predominantly uses collage and free machine embroidery to make her pictures, for this workshop we’re taking it slower with hand stitch.

All materials will be provided but feel free to bring along any fabrics you’d like to include. These might be vintage textiles, lace or old clothing that means something to you.

All skill levels are welcome.

Enjoy delicious Haus & Co coffee during the day. We’ll have a relaxed lunch break. Either bring your own lunch or pop out to grab a bite.
