COLOUR AND CALM - ART AND RELAXATION SESSION WITH LISA AINSLIE. SUNDAY 29 NOVEMBER 10am - 1pm

Come and join Galashiels-based artist, illustrator and hypnotherapist Lisa Ainslie for a wonderful session of relaxation and painting on a relaxing Sunday morning. Using acrylic paints and a variety of mark making tools, together you will explore your individual creativity, bringing to life wonderful vibrant landscapes. 

The session will begin with a guided relaxation to help you let go of any stresses you may feel, so as a group you are ready to create and explore.  

This workshop is perfect for beginners as well as those more practiced and Lisa will be on hand demonstrating techniques and how to use the tools, but this won’t be a step-by-step tutorial. Instead you’ll be given the freedom to have fun, play and create with as much or as little guidance as you feel you need. The most important element of these sessions is to explore your creativity and let loose a little. It’s an opportunity to gather, relax and create, bringing some colour and calm into your day as the light fades and before the festive season in all its madness kicks in. 

You’ll be provided with all materials including reference photos of colourful landscapes to work from. Please feel free to bring along any of your own reference images if you wish.  Please also come in appropriate clothes which you will be happy to potentially get paint on.
